His Glory

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

– 2 Corinthians 4:6

When a person fully surrenders their life to Christ, gets saved, repents of their sin, puts their faith in God, becomes a Christian–whatever you want to call it–something happens. It is a something similar to the something that happened at the dawn of creation.

It is a something that is coming out of nothing.

It is light breaking in where darkness once consumed. It is life happening where death once reigned. It is adoption happening where enmity once resided. It is salvation.

Now, God is the one that accomplishes that in the heart of a person, but by his grace, he uses people to speak light and life through.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

That is the reason for this latest design. To remind us that our lives should be marked by a willing surrender to the one true and holy God and the pursuit of a single goal to see his glory conveyed through us to others.

What will your 2019 be marked by? I pray mine will be marked by a proclamation of God’s glory! First to myself, then my wife, my family, then anyone else God puts in my path. One God, one goal, his glory!

May it be a year of seeing people’s eyes unveiled to it for the first time, and the hearts of those who have seen it growing more in love with their Lord!
